A transient voltage surge is an extremely fast, burst of excessive energy, which if not suppressed, can and will cause damage to all electrical equipment. This may occur immediately or over time. These voltage transients can reach thousands of volts in fractions of a second. Lightning is the most commonly recognized voltage transient.

V-Blox® protects equipment from internal and external transient voltage surges including lightning, with its proprietary Voltage Blocking System. But if the voltage begins to rise to as little as 130-volts on a 120-volt circuit, the V-Blox® system will react and suppress the voltage in under a nano-second.
